From north to south, the NC Outer Banks features 5 lighthouses: Currituck Beach, Bodie Island, Cape Hatteras, Ocracoke, and Cape Lookout. The daymark differs for each one. Thus, Ocracoke's simple whitewash distinguishes it from the others. At night, mariners can see its light from 14 miles at sea. Photos taken June 16, 2016.
